The Landstar tradition of offering complimentary holiday meals continues in hopes of making the season a little brighter for BCOs on the road and away from their families during this special time of year.
Once again, Landstar has teamed up with TravelCenters of America (TA) and Petro Stopping Centers (Petro) to offer complimentary meals on Thanksgiving day and Christmas day.
There are two ways for BCOs to receive a free holiday meal coupon:
The deadline to log on and register for the meal coupon for Thanksgiving is 4 p.m. on November 22, 2016. The deadline to register for the Christmas meal coupon is 4 p.m. December 23, 2016. BCOs can print out their meal ticket on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day at any TA or Petro kiosk.
Coupons are valid for a meal up to $19 for an individual or up to $38 for team drivers and spouses. Meals are available at participating TA and Petro locations with full service restaurants.
One lucky Landstar Business Capacity Owner (BCO) will drive home from BCO Appreciation Days in Rockford, Illinois as the owner of a brand new 2017 Kenworth T680. The flame red Kenworth T680 features a 455-HP PACCAR MX-13 engine and a 10 speed Eaton Fuller transmission.
The Kenworth T680 is designed to change the way owner-operators save money on fuel. Kenworth says the T680 can improve fuel economy by as much as 10 percent. According to the manufacturer, the truck’s real-time reporting technology, tire pressure monitoring system, predictive cruise control and driver performance assistant, help the operator achieve maximum fuel efficiency.
The truck’s spacious cab provides a 76 inch high-roof sleeper and offers modern, elegant interior features that heighten the driving experience. The driver-friendly T680 features a large capacity drawer-style refrigerator/freezer, a large under-wardrobe cabinet, a TV wall mount for flat screen monitors up to 23 inches, as well as a Kenworth radio with AM/FM/WB/CD/USB, Bluetooth and Sirius-XM Satellite 
speakers.
The Landstar Truck Giveaway, powered by Comdata, will be held on the first day of the two-day event held in Rockford this year, September 13 – 14. Landstar BCO Appreciation Days are held each year as a show of thanks to Landstar BCOs for their service excellence and dedication to safety.
