The 10 point promotion available for Landstar business capacity owners (BCOs) through Pilot Flying J was so popular that it has decided to extend the offer indefinitely. BCOs simply purchase fuel using their Landstar BCO/Pilot Flying J Professional Driver myRewards card to receive 10 points. The points pilot_flying_j_logo-300x106are an added bonus to the 25 cent discount Landstar BCOs already receive on fuel purchases at Pilot Flying J.

BCOs who are not currently members of Pilot Flying J’s myRewards program can join by requesting a card from a cashier at any Pilot Flying J location. The cashier can register the card on site or you can register by visiting www.pilotflyingj.com, then clicking on the gray box titled “Drivers – Earn myRewards Points.”

TravelCenters of America completed the renovation of its “Columbia North” facility in Columbia, South Carolina. The truck stop located at I-20, Exit 70 (99 Plumbers Road) has undergone extensive remodeling and changes to make it a full service travel center for owner-operators. 2016 Great American Trucking Show

GATSThe Great American Trucking Show (GATS) kicks off Thursday, August 25, in Dallas, Texas at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Known as the nation’s most interactive experience within the trucking community, this year, GATS promises not to disappoint.

Landstar has a lot planned that you don’t want to miss during this year’s three-day trucking show. When you arrive at the convention center, stop by Landstar’s booth (#12055), to learn about the Landstar advantage and how you can become an independent owner-operator leased to Landstar.

Please join us for Landstar BCO Appreciation Days in Rockford, Illinois, September 13th and 14th. The event will take place at the Landstar service center located at 1000 Simpson Road, Rockford, Illinois 61102. There is limited on-site parking but we’ve also secured off-site parking at the Rockford Airport which in a short drive away.

We’ll have fun filled days of informative meetings, great food, and entertainment. This is the time to meet Landstar’s management team and discuss company and industry issues. It’s also the time to re-connect with your fellow BCOs. 

While you’re here, take time to visit the vendor tent. We’re expecting a great turnout of vendors coming to show their appreciation for your business and to showcase their products.

Landstar will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. Following dinner, there will be entertainment and prize drawings for those who attend the daily safety meeting. A highlight of this year’s event will be the “Landstar Deliver to Win Truck Giveaway Powered by Comdata”. On Tuesday, September 13th, five finalists will be on stage and one lucky BCO will win a brand new truck! See you there.
